I guess you could say I’m one of the lucky ones.
Pollen doesn’t bother me. Neither does the heat (tank tops and showers are magical), and cold? Just an excuse to pull out my cozy layers. Being outdoors just works for me—no matter the season, no matter the temperature.
Even on the days I head into the office, I make it a point to have my morning coffee out on the back porch. It’s a little moment of calm, a breath of fresh air—literally.
Nature is where I reset. It’s where the noise of everyday life quiets down a bit. With so many things in this world that can chip away at your peace, I’ve learned to protect mine. And for me, that means lacing up my Hokas and heading out for a walk—long, slow, purposeful.
Sometimes it’s with a podcast, an audiobook, or the voice of someone I love catching up over the phone. Most often, these walks happen in the late afternoon, when the day starts to exhale and so do I.
I don’t take it for granted—this body that lets me walk, this life that lets me pause. I’m deeply grateful that I can do this almost every day. Because no matter what kind of weather rolls in, I’ve got my Hokas by the door and a world waiting outside.
