One of Those Days… and a Reminder to Stay Organized

Today was one of those days where nothing seemed to go smoothly. I went to work and realized I didn’t have my access key — which, of course, I needed to get in. Then, to top it off, I came home without my cell phone. That meant extra time wasted driving back and forth, and it turned a regular day into a frustrating one.

Normally, I don’t let things like traffic bother me. I know it’s out of my control, and stressing about it doesn’t get me anywhere. But today, I realized a lot of the stress I was feeling wasn’t about the traffic — it was about the little things I could have easily prevented. It was one of those moments where you just have to admit, yep, I created my own chaos today.

The silver lining? River came to my rescue. He was super helpful and drove over to deliver my phone. I was so grateful in that moment — not just for the favor, but for having a friend like him who’s always willing to step in when I need it.

If today taught me anything, it’s that getting better organized before leaving the house — or any place — is crucial. A quick checklist or a moment of pause before heading out could’ve saved me a whole lot of time and frustration.

It’s been a long day, but hopefully it’ll end better than it started. Tomorrow’s a fresh one, and I’ll be leaving the house with everything I need… phone, keys, sanity.
